Chloe Castro is a South Florida native, having grown up in Miami, Florida. As a Cuban American her first language was Spanish and she is still fluent in reading, writing, and speaking the language. She attended Coral Reef Senior High school where she was enrolled in the magnet school’s performing arts academy. As an active member of Student Government Association, she served as the Class President.
After high school, she studied Marketing and Communication Arts with a major in Political Communication at Florida International University. During her undergraduate studies she was President of FIU’s Debate Team and competed nationally, winning 1st Place National Speaker among other awards. This is where she found her spark for argument and the law.
Chloe graduated from Vermont Law School with many Deans List Honors. She received the highest grade in Corporate Law and was hand selected as a member of the Mock Trial Team. After law school Chloe was awarded the International Trial Lawyers Association Award commending her for her trial advocacy skills.
Chloe participated in a full-time Externship program with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office in Boston, Massachusetts. There, Chloe successfully argued significant issues of first impression at the trial court level involving alleged collateral consequences of a defendant’s valid plea offer.
After getting a taste of what it was like to be a litigator, she continued sharpening her litigation skills at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office as an Assistant State Attorney. As an ASA she was responsible for representing the State and Victim’s in thousands of cases involving crimes ranging from driving under the influence to violent crimes involving deadly weapons and serious bodily injury. After her exemplary performance, Chloe was selected as a Division Leader in the Misdemeanor Unit where she oversaw and trained incoming attorneys. Chloe has the experience of sitting as both a first chair and a second chair in dozens of jury trials.
After leaving the State Attorney's Office Chloe felt empowered to help individuals who need aggressive trial representation. She joined a civil defense litigation law firm protecting individuals from negligence law suits seeking to empty their hard earned retirement finds. In her capacity as a defense attorney, Chloe has obtained successful outcomes for her clients both in and out of the courtroom. In civil work she gained an affinity for case valuation and mediation strategy.
Through CD Law Pro, Chloe has combined her experience and success in both criminal and civil law so that you can experience expert representation for all of your legal needs in a one-stop-shop.
When she isn’t fiercely defending clients, Chloe enjoys being in the outdoors, attending farmers markets with her family, and playing with her Italian Greyhound-Chihuahua. She frequently lends a philanthropic hand in the sustainable development community. In 2016 she successfully piloted, pitched, and bankrolled an $80,000 solar project, which put solar panels and retrofit the interior lighting of Camillus House, one of the oldest standing homeless shelters in South Florida.
